Grace for the humble

Written Dec 10, 2016

The apostle Paul. A man so accomplished. A man so anointed of God. A man powerful in word and deed and blessed with spiritual gifts and incredible revelations in God's Word. And did more than any of the other disciples, wrote a large portion of the New Testament and yet every sentence he speaks exudes humility and the fear of God.

Do we not realize how little each of us really are? And how much we need God. And realize how much we need to press into Him all throughout the day, everyday? How many realize your only success in this world in bearing good fruit for the world to come depends on how closely you walk after the Lord. How about being so close to Him that you can say you are walking in Him and He in you?

Every day when we are blessed enough to wake up, the first thing we want to say is "God, take my life, use me today". And we are obligated to seek to pay that vow and strive to force our thoughts to stay on Him and His Word.

The apostle Paul. A man who was so supernaturally saved. And who walked with God to the very end of his life. Who preached powerful messages shedding tears as he spoke. And also said he forced his body to follow God because if he didn't he would be adokimos - he would be rejected. He would be reprobate. If he didn't enslave his body and force it to be in subjection to God. (More here)

The Spirit of God is contending with you, pleading with you, to stay in Jesus Christ all day. Every day. Until the end of your life. Keeping your lamps filled...

May God give us ears to hear and a heart that understands His Word. And may we bring forth fruit an hundredfold.

The first and greatest commandment is to love the Lord our God with all our hearts. We have to realize this has to be us if we claim to be HIS!

See my other messages in the top right hand column for more understanding regarding God's power toward us and the different kinds of sin (sins unto death/sins not unto death = wilful sins vs sins of ignorance and going astray 1 John 5).

You can be saved!

God loves the people in the world so much that He came down to die for us. If God is opening your heart to His message and you feel convicted for your sins which have separated you from a holy God and you feel the need to be forgiven, then say this prayer. This is how I was powerfully converted to the Christ in 1997!

Say, "My Lord and my God, have mercy on me, a sinner. I believe Jesus the Christ died on the cross and shed His precious blood for the forgiveness of all my sins. I believe Jesus raised from the dead and ascended into heaven and is now on the right-hand side of God listening to this prayer. I open up the door of my heart and I invite You in, Lord Jesus. Thank you, God, for saving my soul and I vow to serve you with all my heart which is the first and greatest commandment. Amen."
