ORPHANOS
These are the only two usages of the word "Orphanos" (orphans) in the whole New Covenant - Testament:
Strong's (concordance) #3737. ὀρφανός (orphanos). This is the Greek word that was translated as "comfortless" by the KJV translators in John 14:18 ("I will not leave you comfortless"). The only other usage besides John 14:18 is James 1:27, ".. To visit the FATHERLESS.." (KJV) and "... to visit the ORPHANS..." (NASB)
Highlight
"For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus." ~Galatians 3:26
"And I will be a father to you, And you shall be sons and daughters to Me," Says the Lord Almighty. ~2 Corinthians 6:18
"And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father." — Galatians 4:6

This is nothing else but intentional subversion of the Word of God by infiltrators within the KJV translation team in the translation of John 14:18. Here is why I say this;
These verses are the verses where JESUS ("God with us") teaches His disciples about HOW to enter the NEW COVENANT. Jesus says, "I will not leave you ORPHANOS (Fatherless)" because unless you have received the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, that is exactly what you are. Orphans! Fatherless!
The Greek word for "Comforter" is paráklētos (G3875)
The Greek word for "Comfort-less" is orphanos (G3737)
As you can see, these are very different Greek words underneath the English translation. And they do NOT equate to "comforter" or "comfortless".
And this is also verified throughout Scripture.
"For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father." Romans 8:15
When the Spirit enters us, that is when we are adopted by God! Before that, we were ORPHANOS!
When you understand this, hundreds of Scriptures begin to come together beautifully! Like this verse,

"But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name:" John 1:12
He gave us POWER TO BECOME THE SONS OF GOD .... THROUGH the Baptism in His Holy Spirit! (Acts 1:8)
"For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call." Acts 2:39
The baptism in the Holy Spirit is WHEN you "yoke up" with Christ, become SAVED and Born Again!! And this isn't an isolated teaching within the New testament here in John. But it is the most clear and precise, and it was intentionally targeted to make this clear and precise teaching into something confusing. And many cults that are lead by people who have never entered the New Covenant themselves, teach that "the comforter" here is something else beside salvation. Because God says, I will give you ANOTHER Comforter aka Counselor, Legal Guide, BESIDE the external Word. This OTHER Guide will be IN YOU!! Written on the tables of your heart! (Jer 31:31-33, Ezekiel 36:26, 27).
Here Paul talks about what happens when we are baptized in God's Holy Spirit and Christ, the Father and the Holy Spirit enter us,
Galatians 4:4-7 "But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, 5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. 6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. 7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ."
And then we need to be obedient children. Never letting go of the Father's hand. And yes, we go through tests and trials of our faith. And chastisement, and tribulations. THEN, "he who endures to the end" (Matt 24:13), THAT is when we are received into God's kingdom for eternity. Because Paul points out that we only receive the "firstfruits of the Spirit" HERE ON EARTH and that we await the total completion of the adoption process, "the redemption of our bodies". Romans 8:18-25
And all the "KJV ONLY" people are WRONG when they try and tell everyone how PERFECT the KJV is. The King James Only Movement are connected to the copyright owners of the Textus Receptus! And they are called the Trinitarian Bible Society. And the Textus Receptus was used to create the King James Version Bible. Erasmus who compiled the Textus Receptus was a homosexual, a humanist and a Roman Catholic Priest until the day he died. He dedicated all his work to Pope Leo X as a patron of learning!
So the Textus Receptus - King James Only Version movement call out the Vaticanus and Sinaiticus as "Catholic Bibles" saying they are all corrupt while they preach King James Onlyism, meanwhile the Textus Receptus by Erasmus was ALSO the work of the Vatican!
There are still OTHER manuscripts. I think it's in everyone's best interest to look at these other manuscripts as well! I was saved from reading the NIV, so there is the Word of God in all these Bibles. But there are also corruptions in these Bibles. Including the King James Version! I like studying all the versions, but I always look at the Greek word underneath the English translation so I can see for myself more fully what is being said.
But If you haven't received the baptism in the Holy Spirit, the "Comforter" which is actual legal advocate, the Spirit of truth, "the Holy Spirit" (John 14) Who will "teach you all things", if you haven't received the Spirit, then you have NOT entered into the New Covenant. You are still in your sins!
Both Moody and Spurgeon knew that the Greek word was "orphan" and they both intentionally covered it up and obfuscated the clear understanding of the verse John 14:18

If you "believe" in God, then you will receive the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. End of story!!! It's the tell-tale sign that you DONT believe that you did not receive it. So if you really believe in God, receive the Holy Spirit! Follow the Old Covenant right into the New Covenant. Follow the external Word into the writing of the Word on the tables of your HEART. Follow Jesus's instructions, His commands, and He promises, and the Father promises you WILL receive Him. He "will come to you.. He will NOT leave you ORPHANS! "And on that day you will KNOW that I am in the Father and you in me and I in YOU" John 14:20
In John 7:37 we read, "Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. 38 "He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, 'From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water. '" 39 But this He spoke of the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified."
So the Holy Spirit was not yet given until Pentecost. And all those who truly believe will receive Him!
(Acts 2:32, 33)
Jesus said, "on that day you shall KNOW" ... "that I AM IN YOU" !! John 14:20 This is a powerful experience everyone! On that day you will be made a NEW CREATURE (Creation) Through Christ Jesus by God's Mercy and Promise made to Abraham and all His prophets Since the World Began!!
"And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?" Luke 11:9-13
If you understand that God is your heavenly Father, then you will go to Him in prayer and He will GIVE YOU the Holy Spirit!

Yours in Yeshua the Messiah, Thomas Richards
You can be saved!
God loves the people in the world so much that He came down to die for us. If God is opening your heart to His message and you feel convicted for your sins which have separated you from a holy God and you feel the need to be forgiven, then say this prayer. This is how I was powerfully converted to the Christ in 1997!
Say, "My Lord and my God, have mercy on me, a sinner. I believe Jesus the Christ died on the cross and shed His precious blood for the forgiveness of all my sins. I believe Jesus raised from the dead and ascended into heaven and is now on the right-hand side of God listening to this prayer. I open up the door of my heart and I invite You in, Lord Jesus. Thank you, God, for saving my soul and I vow to serve you with all my heart which is the first and greatest commandment. Amen."
