Mercy For The Chiefest of Sinners!

December 4, 2017

When you think someone has gone too far to be an object of God's mercy and receive eternal life and salvation from God the Father through Yeshua, we should meditate on certain Words from God's heart, receive them into our heart and be prepared to share them with our neighbor. Right behind the actual crucifixion of our Lord and Savior Yeshua the Messiah, I believe the following is the most perfectly clear example of God's mercy in all Scripture: The conversion testimony of the apostle Paul. In the book of Acts, the apostle Paul testifies in regard to himself, "And when the blood of thy martyr Stephen was shed, I also was standing by, and consenting unto his death, and kept the raiment of them that slew him." Acts 22:20 (KJV)

Now the background of Stephen is as follows; He is described in Acts as "a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit." and "full of grace and power," who, "was performing great wonders and signs among the people." Acts 6:5, 8

Because Paul was responsible for Stephen's death, Paul forever described himself as "the chiefest (or the worst) of sinners" (1 Timothy 1:15). Paul was being literal here. There is no worse crime under heaven than to murder a Spirit filled child of God. And yet God forgave Paul for this heinous crime against Him. And not only did God forgive him, God used him more powerfully than, arguably, ANYONE in all of Scripture!

Highlight

“For judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment.” ~James 2:13

“Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.” — 1 Peter 2:10

These verses connect the desires of the flesh with the things of the world. James 4:4 connects love of the world with being the enemy of God
But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions. ~Matt 6:15

The blood Yeshua the Messiah shed on that cross at Golgotha is in fact the highest price imaginable to be paid, for anything! Now that highest price ever paid was paid for something incredibly valuable to God. And meditating on this is enough to break anyone's heart. This value was set by the One who is the utmost Authority on the topic of value and prices. The valuable item God paid for was none other than the human soul. To redeem that soul to Himself. So think about the value God has attached to the human soul next time when dealing with someone who you may not like in the natural (flesh). Forget our opinions and strive to be able to see it God's way. Because we are not much better than anyone else and God suffered and died for us. We were ALL God's enemies at one time in our lives.

Highest paid prices are for highest valued items.

In Paul, the love of God was clearly displayed. And Paul was forever grateful. And Paul taught perfectly about the love of God and how to love God and taught "love" (agape) is THE most important virtue for a believer. "If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I AM NOTHING." (1 Corinthians 12:31 - 1 Corinthians 13:13). The beloved apostle John also states, "Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love." 1 John 4:8. And the love of God has been poured out on this earth through His Son, Yeshua the Messiah.

Messiah Died for us while we were walking contrary to Him. All mercy, grace and peace from God is unmerited.
For You have been a defense for the helpless, A defense for the needy in his distress, A refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat; For the breath of the ruthless Is like a rain storm against a wall. ~Isaiah 25:4

God loved His enemy, Paul. And we are to do the same. Matthew 5:43-48

Those who have received God's love must not forget where they came from (Luke 7:47). Those who were objects of God's mercy must not forget where they came from and WHO brought them out of that miry clay and set their feet on a rock to stay and put a NEW SONG in our heart that day. A song of PRAISE, Hallelujah! (Psalm 40)

The faith in our heart is from God and for God. Our reasonable (logikos) service is to present ourselves a living sacrifice unto the LORD (Romans 12:1). To properly represent God and His love that He has for the world. To TELL the world about this price God paid for their souls. So they can come out of the world and into the wonderful eternal blessings in Messiah. The promises of eternal life in God's Kingdom as described in God's Word.

This can only be properly done by those who have been baptized in God's Spirit and are allowing God to baptize them in His refining and purifying fire. Those who were called and are answering the call by laying down their lives for the Lord and are striving to love God with all their heart through the power God supplies!

You can be saved!

if you have never repented of your sins and been saved and feel the desire to do so now please say this prayer. This is how I was powerfully saved 20 years ago!

Say, "My Lord and my God, Have mercy on my soul, a sinner, I believe Jesus the Messiah died on the cross and shed His precious blood for the forgiveness of all my sins. I believe God raised Jesus from the dead and Jesus is now on the right hand of God and can hear my prayer at this moment and wants to live through me and give me power to keep His Word. I open up the door of my heart and I invite You into my heart Lord Jesus. Please be my Lord and Savior in every aspect of my life. Thank you God for saving my soul and I vow to serve you with all my heart which is the first and greatest commandment. Amen"
